Freeman W. Cronk, 78, died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. He had been in failing health for several months. He was born March 10, 1892 to Allen and Dora Cronk in Fountain County. On Oct 21, 1916 he was married to Goldie Butts. Mr. Cronk was a retired farmer who moved to the Hillsboro area from Illinois in 1942, and spent the summers here and the winters in Plant City, FL. He was a member of the EUB Church. Survivors include his wife; a sister, Mrs. Iva Keller, Hillsboro and several nieces and nephews. he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and two brothers. Services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Henry C. Stidham officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday.
